Why do I need to provide ID and proof of entitlement?

JK Plates Ltd is a DVLA registered number plate supplier, which means we have legal obligations when supplying number plates displaying a DVLA issued registration.

We must establish the customer’s identity and entitlement to the registration before supplying the plate. We are also required to maintain the appropriate sales records.

These checks help ensure that registrations are only supplied in accordance with the number plate supplier requirements.

Are 3D Gel and 4D number plates road legal?

Yes. Our 3D Gel and 4D Acrylic number plates are available as fully UK road legal plates.

Our 3D Gel and 4D Acrylic plates are manufactured to meet the applicable DVLA requirements and BS AU 145e standards, including the required character dimensions, spacing, markings and other applicable specifications.

When supplied as a UK Road Legal plate by JK Plates, you can order with confidence that your plates are manufactured for legal use on UK roads.

Can I order just a front or rear number plate?

Yes. You can order a complete front & rear set, or choose to order just a front plate or just a rear plate.

Front plates are supplied with a white reflective background, while rear plates are supplied with a yellow reflective background.

The available options are shown on each product page, so you can select the configuration you need for your vehicle.

What happens if I don’t provide the required documents?

If the required documentation is not provided, we will be unable to complete your road-legal number plate order.

As a DVLA Registered Number Plate Supplier, we are required to verify your identity and entitlement to the registration before supplying the plates.

Please have your required documentation available before ordering to help avoid delays with your order.
